Pricebook licence terms
Last updated 29 October 2026
1. Who we are
The Estimating Collective is a trading name of Engineering, Management & Costing Consultants Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). These terms apply to every purchase of our pricebooks, including the electrical and mechanical kits and any files, builds or data we supply with them (the "Pricebooks").
By purchasing, accessing or using the Pricebooks you agree to these terms.
2. Licence
When you buy the Pricebooks you receive a licence to use them. You do not buy the content. We keep ownership of the Pricebooks and all intellectual property in them.
The licence is for one business only: the business that purchased (by its ABN or NZBN) and its own employees, used in the ordinary course of that business.
3. No sharing
You must not share, sell, resell, sublicense, publish, upload, copy for others or otherwise pass on the Pricebooks, in whole or in part, to anyone outside your business.
This includes other contractors, related or associated businesses, wholesalers, suppliers, software vendors, consultants and training providers, and it applies to every format: on screen, in your job management or take-off software, and as CSV, spreadsheet or any other file.
4. Confidential information
The builds, components, quantities, costs and labour times in the Pricebooks are our confidential information. You must keep them confidential and take reasonable steps to stop anyone outside your business getting access to them.
5. Breach
If you breach sections 3 or 4, your licence ends immediately and we may remove your access, with no refund.
You will be liable for the loss we suffer because of the breach, including a licence fee at our full current price for each business or person who received the Pricebooks without a licence.
We may also seek an injunction or any other remedy available to us.
6. Confirming access
If we ask, you must confirm in writing who in your business has had access to the Pricebooks, and whether any of the content has left your business.
7. After the licence ends
Sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 continue to apply after your licence ends, for any reason.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of Victoria.
